Photo Manipulation and Ethics

A. The article talks about the issues and seriousness of altering photos. Simply changing a small thing in a photo can come with major consequences. This has been going on since the 1850s. The concern is that in the modern day, editing is becoming easier especially for citizens.

B. I think it is unethical because altering a photo for ones benefit is selfish. The public should be seeing the truth and to be lied to.

I think this photo is the most unethical because the original photo of the man running up to the soldier, the solider stops yelling and puts his arm down to see pay attention to the man. In this photo is seems as if the soldier is being aggressive towards the man. It's unethical to make the soldier seem more aggressive when in reality he was concerned for the man. This is completely unfair to both the soldier and the man in the photo.

I think the photo is the least unethical because the photo isn't hurting anyone or anything. There are probably pyramids that look like this somewhere else, and just altering the pyramids to fit the page, seems harmless and still believable.
