Tell me about Back to The 80s
"Itis super fun! It kind of reminds me of the movie Pretty In Pink"
"I think it's jus treally fun, energetic, and it's cliche in a cute way"
"The 80s were a really fun and bright decade so I think that is what the show encompasses"
"Last yeare verything we were wanting to do kept getting pushed back because of theatre UIL"
"We took the choreography from last year and modified it to make it more challenging because we have more time"

What's it like doing an in-class musical
"In class it's good because we know we have a time constraint, so we're working with it instead of against it. We try to stay on task as much as we can to make it efficient"
What's it like learning songs from the 80s
"It's super fun, I love this style, it's definitly different from most musical theatre stuff. For musical theattre you usually use really good dictiona nd youre precice with what you say, but with the 80s, I sing Girls Just Want To Have fun and she kind of slurs it, so i started trying to pick up stuff like that. It doesnt need to be perfect it can be really fun. It's really fun and carefree" "You can take more liberties with the way you do stuff" "It's definitly been different but it's definitly expanded my musical repertior."
What was it like not rehearsing all summer
"We did not rehearse all summer" "It was surprising in a good way, how much we kind of picked it up right away." "I remembered the footwork it was kind of like muscle memory". "It was nice that it was still with us and we could still pick it up"
Are you glad you got to perform in the spring and continue it this fall?
"I feel like I've grown a lot personally as a performer, I'm really glad I get the oppertunity to do it again which is something you don't get a lot from performances."It's really special to me to be able to do it at th end of my sophmore yaer and then go the whole summer and see how ive changed and how i want to do it differently." "I want to see how much more confident I feel about it. I'm really excited for that aspect of it"" ifeel like i've  broken out of my shell and I will be more confident in it." "It's really a blessing for me to get to do it again".
