They are looking into whether the deputy Randy McMillan who used the Taser and deputy Timothy Stalcup who was at the scene, used excessive force on Noe Nino de Rivera or whether they misused their power.

2. What is happening in the Ukraine right now? Page 1 Please write 2-3 sentences
Anti-government demonstrators in central Kiev protested causing some of the most lethal violence since Soviet times. At least 70 to 100 people are killed. Dozens of policemen were captured paraded around Kievs central square.

3. Why do you think schools in AISD are seeing less students each breakfast at school? See page A11 at the bottom right YOUSAY section
I think that it is more of an inconvenience to eat breakfast at school. Students could be rushed, or not getting healthier food as they would at home, and at home there are more choices in some instances.

HandleBar

5. How much money did Facebook pay for WhatsApp? Page B7
$19 billion.

REMINDER - Some of you are not writing enough here. A single sentence isn't enough. I expect you to expand upon your writing. If you think you have written enough, you haven't, write more. Be sure to answer WHY you think something.

A. Are you watching the Olympics? Why or Why not?
I am not watching the Olympics. I support it completely, but I personally don't enjoy sports, so the Olympics don't really interest me.

If you have been watching them, what has been the highlight so far?

If you have not been watching them, what have you been doing instead?
I have been spending a lot of time doing homework and studying since it's coming down to the end of the six weeks. I also have been thinking about getting a job because I need money.
Have you ever aspired to be an Olympian? What about in other areas? Have you ever dreamed of some sort of participating in some sort of big event like the Olympics, or Running with the Bulls in Spain, or something like that? If you have tell me about it.
Sports are NOT my thing AT ALL. I am so uncoordinated. I have never aspired to be an Olympian or in any areas like it. I am more into the arts, such as theatre, I love acting.

Photo Manipulation and Ethics

A. The article talks about the issues and seriousness of altering photos. Simply changing a small thing in a photo can come with major consequences. This has been going on since the 1850s. The concern is that in the modern day, editing is becoming easier especially for citizens.

B. I think it is unethical because altering a photo for ones benefit is selfish. The public should be seeing the truth and to be lied to.

I think this photo is the most unethical because the original photo of the man running up to the soldier, the solider stops yelling and puts his arm down to see pay attention to the man. In this photo is seems as if the soldier is being aggressive towards the man. It's unethical to make the soldier seem more aggressive when in reality he was concerned for the man. This is completely unfair to both the soldier and the man in the photo.

I think the photo is the least unethical because the photo isn't hurting anyone or anything. There are probably pyramids that look like this somewhere else, and just altering the pyramids to fit the page, seems harmless and still believable.

The Falling Man

This article made me really think about 9/11 like I hadn't before. To me the picture of the falling man does not offend me, because I like to knowledge myself with what has happened in history, no matter how disturbing. Not everyone looks at life this way. The search for who the falling mad is was not easy and a lot of people were offended by the photo. There are a lot of details about the man that I couldn't tell by looking at him, so I am amazed at how close they got to finding him. I actually don't mind that they couldn't figure out who he was even though it was a close call in the end. I don't mind because like the article showed is that he represents what happened. He represents a soldier in this war. I thought that was very beautiful, and it made me see the whole situation in a new light.
